The first meeting of the project "BEE: Building Empowering Environment for Youth Employability" International Seminar was held in Bologna (Italy), 17- 26 July 2016.
"BEE International Seminar" in Bologna gathered together more than 30 participants from 13 different countries and 4 continents to start to build an empowering environment to enable young people to undergo a work-based learning period and to foster links between formal education, non-formal education and labour market. It gathered together participants from 13 different countries from all over the world.
The meeting aimed at fostering capacity building of the consortium and providing participating organizations with tools and knowledge on raising an awareness campaign about the need of cross-sectorial cooperation for youth employability in their communities. It provided participants with knowledge on EU policies in the field of youth employability, work-based learning mobility and its role for boosting youth employability concept of apprenticeship, tools for bridging different sectors and promoting holistic approach.
YouNet presented their own first-hand experience on creating an enabling environment for WBL, sharing practical examples of recent experiences, methods and tools for bridging VET institutions and labor market.
A special space was dedicated to joint elaboration of the framework of the awareness raising campaign and in the end participants left the seminar with a task of raising awareness in their countries. The seminar will be followed by a 'Jobshadowing' experience in the YouNet office, each partners organisation will send one participant in a cycle of four intakes from October - December 2016.
